Hi there! I’m Cherlyn and I love to bake. It all started with my first pumpkin pie with store-bought pie crust and canned ingredients. Fast-forward 5 years, I took my first cooking class at school, and since then, I’ve been passionate about baking and cooking everything from scratch. Not only is it often cheaper, it’s also so much healthier and way easier to control what goes into my food and my body. Whether cooking for myself or baking for 100 people, my goal is to create the tastiest foods that everyone can enjoy.
Initially, I picked up photography as a way to capture landscapes and the outdoors (see my other ventures at alpine wanderlust and Cherlyn Eliza Photography). But the more I baked, the more I wanted to capture that through my lens, and so here we are!
Vanilla Whisk is about my zealousness for baking and a platform for me to record and share my favorite recipes and foods.
